@SilverFan101 Not because wind doesn't equal flying, but because there's mons that can use wind despite not being a flying type. And in no game can sonic fly. He can manipulate wind and that i get, however besides like 4 mons (2 birds) can't casually fly freely.

@BwiskTanuki Personally he shouldn't be flying type at all but i understand why. People cling to his "manipulation of wind" despite there being pokemon who can learn hurricane that aren't flying types.

@BleuSpheres Shiftry. Manipulates wind Not a flying type. Wind does equal flying. But flying can equal wind. In no sonic game in the history of ever could sonic fly without external methods. Manipulation of wind doesn't make him a flying type. It can influence moves, doesn't have to be a type

This whole debate popping on the tl is making me realize that way too many people still treat flying as an honorary "wind" type. They're closely related but just about all flying types have the ability to actually fly or glide in some capacity.
