My main point though is even if you ban solvers etc, the same people would still be beating you as they'll just use freely available data instead. Just takes them longer each week!

@Mike_Metz66 There are free versions that are decent, and you can also spend the time collating all the xG and predictive data if you wanted to.

I agree that people who just use the solver with no thought aren't managing anything, it's very boring, but it's their choice to do so.

@Mike_Metz66 I don't see that as an issue, it's automating the boring part (which players are good picks) so that you can spend more time thinking about the interesting parts of the game like:
- Shaping your risk profile to optimise for different rank goals
- Ensuring your team is robust

@Mike_Metz66 I disagree with that, the best data players are the ones who use the solvers to generate ideas and then make decisions utilising their frameworks.
