Regretfully, due to various factors, SpokAnthro is being put on hold indefinitely. We extend our thanks to everyone patiently waiting on news, and wish we had better news. Paid memberships from when we canceled can either donate that money to the non-profit, or get it refunded.
@specimen_ID_F86 The non-profit that memberships can be donated to is RAIn, a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Their board of directors help support SpokAnthro.

@OreyGazmo@magicpaw Hotels may be charging more to make up loss revenue during the pandemic, but we are not certain as we are in the dark and can not make assumptions of their viewpoints on any fandom or culture. For all we are can assume, they could be booked for other events.
Regrettably, we haven't had luck finding a venue for SpokAnthro 2022, so we can't run this year. We're exploring venues outside Spokane for 2023. We do plan to have a meet this year, so expect info no later than May 2, 2022. Please check our site for more info.
A few people requested we have a ball pit for our next year. People, we can't stress this enough: that is a very bad idea. A very very bad idea. Do you want us to be cursed or something?
Should we bother tweeting about pizza?
You know what? No!
No pizza tweet for you! Half of you don't even tip anyway! And you can forget about the dipping sauce as well!
