Clean air is essential to a thriving community and economy. During Clean Air Month, local leaders share how air quality supports their work and the people they serve.
Clean air supports every part of our
community—from public health and the economy to
education and outdoor recreation, and more. During
May's Clean Air Month, we’re highlighting community
voices on why clean air matters from their
perspectives.

Happy National Public Health Week! This year’s theme, “Ready. Set. Action!” celebrates the important role of public health professionals in our community who are always working to be ready and set for action to keep you, your family, and your neighbors safe and healthy.
April 1-7 is Asbestos Awareness Week!
Asbestos is the name for naturally occurring minerals that were historically used in residential and commercial building materials.
When asbestos-containing materials or products are damaged, they can release tiny asbestos fibers into the air. When inhaled, these fibers can become trapped in lung tissue, which may cause diseases like lung cancer or mesothelioma.
We are less than 1 month away from the 2026 Do Your Share, Protect Our Air poster contest deadline!
