Monday morning update, cont. for Valley Rd. fire in Elk - level 2 evacuations remain in place. One travel trailer lost, one damaged structure, one FF injury reported. Smoke will be seen in the area as crews work on the fire lines.
Monday morning update on SCFD4 fires: Valley Rd. Fire in Elk: additional crews arriving on scene this morning as the state mobilization team takes over managing this fire. Crews, including tree fallers, will be working on containment lines and putting out hot spots.
Monday morning update,cont. - Hazard Rd. Fire - no structures lost, no injuries. There will still be smoke from the fire as hot spots are extinguished. Cause is under investigation
Monday morning update on SCFD4 fires: Hazard Rd. Fire - approx 50 - 70 acres, crews including a bulldozer working on establishing fire lines today. Add’l firefighting resources to arrive today from out of the area to help. Evacs are still in place for now.
Update on the fires in our district: The Valley Road fire in Elk was recently mapped at approximately 24 acres. No structures lost, evacuations downgraded to Level 2. The Hazard Rd. Fire in North Spokane is approximately 50-60 acres, no structures lost, evacs downgraded level 2
UPDATE: All Evacuations for the fire in North Spokane County near N. Hardesty Rd have been downgraded to Level 2. People living in that area should remain vigilant and ready to leave if conditions change.

FD4 also has a wildfire burning near the 5100 W Hazard Rd area with water dropping planes and helicopters working this fire as well. LEVEL 3 EVACS from Ballard Rd. North to Bernhill Rd and Hazard Rd east to Monroe Rd.
Fire District 4 has two active wildfires in our area. In Elk, WA - the fire is approximately 60 acres, @waDNR_fire has 3 water dropping airplanes and one helicopter working this fire. LEVEL 3 EVACS in place - From Valley Lane north to Oregon Rd and Bruce Rd east to Hardesty Rd.
