@sallyanna25 @DickDelingpole It's due to the suppliers of no/low products being the same ones who produce the 'full fat' versions. Their products are classified as BWS (beer, wine, spirits) and as such all SKUs provided by this supplier are linked to the age check mechanic on automated tills.

@fran3kly @DuckCheeky @MartinSLewis The minimum wage is not dire at all, in fact it's increased exponentially over recent years. Certainly at a much faster rate than middle earners.

The issue is the cost of goods and services in this country driven by high levels of taxation, utilities & cost of imports.
