@uisbg1 TIL the communist state of Nepal, against which there literally were anti censorship and anti government revolts, has more freedom of expression than the USA, Italy and Slovenia
@Robkearney1981 I am southern Italian and recently had an Italian American friend come to Naples, people took it very well that he considers himself Italian by and large
@atlanticesque Italians very rarely drink straight espresso too because it usually doesn't taste good. Mine does. I'm good at making coffee. Also takes way more than what an espresso should take
@Lethal_Vitality It's not "dressing well" that's a larp, it's "dressing up". You can be dressed well in e.g. work wear.
In your own post you sent pictures of military and workwear
But why is the guy wearing a button up shirt and a suit piece without the suit to... Hang out? That's the larp
@salza_von8675@TheGloriousLion It would be tactical escape for most Europeans
Putting that aside it hasn't worked for Americans and they've been doing that for some 70 years now so I'm skeptical of adopting such strategy
@salza_von8675@TheGloriousLion I, and most Europeans, have been born inside the city, and our entire family has been born and lived inside the same city for the last 2000 or so years
Leaving it is cowardice
@matt_olma No but also European countries usually have a 0 merchant fee circuit (Bancomat in Italy), so when you pay, stores are more likely to just not allow you to pay with credit cards because they'd get less money for it
@nopalero26@qualitylearnc Italians in those riots (we are having them right now) did practically nothing
Then again these riots are all in the north, in the south everyone was quite well behaved
