@IfindWankers If he's handing out free food while he's campaigning, that's called "treating" and it's strictly illegal and taken quite seriously under election law. (If he's serving food that the recipients have paid for, that's ok.)
What were they told that might have influenced their behaviour on arrival? Were they preconditioned to react as they did because the FCR or Ops1 Inspectors thought it was a critical incident?
The force control room at @HantsPolice would do PNC , CAD and crime report system searches on Digwa before officers arrived and alerted officers that he was a militant Sikh with a history. Release the transcript or recording of the comms channel where the officers were despatched
@jemmm85517813@DracUK1000 I’m concerned he was remanded in custody. Was he likely to fail to appear, re-offend, interfere with witnesses?
Or was it a vindictive action for having the temerity to plead not guilty and opt for crown court trial? As an example police can use to force guilty pleas from others
@gobbyron@CthulhulLovesU@YoungBobRB I declare an interest. I am a former soldier who joined the civil police. In the 70’s and 80s there were a significant number of ex-soldiers in our ranks and they were welcomed. I served in the cusp where senior officers like McNee and Peter Imbert were succeeded by woke planks
@FUDdaily The normal rules always apply. Police should use the minimum force necessary to protect life or enforce the law. The behaviour exhibited was more than the minimum force required to defend themselves from this man. It appears to be a feral loss of control
