@TKizzle__@lovhes_stupid@OGKING_31@5HeadAsshole@MHFZZEnjoyer If you get an offset knockdown on weapons like GS/Hammer, you will 100% of the time get the clutch claw animation that makes you run forward. You can't roll out or cancel that animation at all. Every single offsettable weapon moves you to the monsters face after (except HBG)
@TKizzle__@lovhes_stupid@OGKING_31@5HeadAsshole@MHFZZEnjoyer I think bouncing up again after an offset (with no knockdown) makes the most sense. Issue is I can't see a reason why they'd make a second offset specifically to keep you in the air. If you get the offset knockdown, you want to be on the ground.
@TKizzle__@lovhes_stupid@OGKING_31@5HeadAsshole@MHFZZEnjoyer Yeah i think having different animations for an offset knockdown vs non offset knockdown would be good. Similar to how GS/Hammer make you clutch claw to the monster on a knockdown.
They've changed IG in the beta once, so hopefully they can give that in the ascendance beta too.
@TKizzle__@lovhes_stupid@OGKING_31@5HeadAsshole@MHFZZEnjoyer Perhaps the best outcome would be making different animations for an actual offset vs an offset that doesn't know the monster down? If you don't knock the monster down, maybe the game bounces your character back in the air, and if you knock the monster down, you complete the anim
@TKizzle__@lovhes_stupid@OGKING_31@5HeadAsshole@MHFZZEnjoyer My point is that an OFFSET has a fixed animation afterwards that makes you hunter end up right in front of the monster, ready to do your strongest attack. Positioning doesn't matter beyond that point because the game puts you right where you want to be. This is true for all weps
@TKizzle__@lovhes_stupid@OGKING_31@5HeadAsshole@MHFZZEnjoyer I can understand maybe wanting an i-frame move in the air that keeps you in the air. But an offset that keeps you in the air is just a liability if you want to do high damage after the offset.
@TKizzle__@lovhes_stupid@OGKING_31@5HeadAsshole@MHFZZEnjoyer Being in the air doesn't give you better positioning, the offset does it for you. Additionally, if you stay in the air after the offset, 99% of players would try quickly land so they can do real damage, since most of your damage comes from the grounded playstyle anyway.
@Nasafitra@TweetingGaruga I'd accept your style if there was a way for us to prevent aerial IG players joining our hunts. I don't want someone joining the hunt and flipping around doing nothing while buffing the monsters hp. Aerial IG players turn a 20 min hunt into a 30 min one.
@TKizzle__@lovhes_stupid@OGKING_31@5HeadAsshole@MHFZZEnjoyer Just to understand your position, what are you hoping to do in the air after an aerial offset? If you've just offset the monster, don't you want to be on the ground doing max damage to it while it's stunned?
