Ref conversation is simple. They were terrible overall. Both sides. Soon as the refs are this prevalent in the conversation we all lose.
That being said. It certainly felt like the Knicks got the worse end of the overall horrendous stick. Somehow still won it.
Devil on my shoulder: History and logic says the Spurs will win game 2. Stats greatly favor home teams that lost in game 1 in game 2. Wemby should be better
Angel on my shoulder: Nothing about this Knicks run has been logical. It doesn't matter. They're winning
NBA Finals Tier List according to me:
Super Elite: Wemby
Elite: Brunson
Great: KAT, Castle, OG
Good/Can Be Great: Vassell, Bridges, Fox, Harper
Good/Can Be Great or Meh: Hart, Champagnie
Can swing games/can dissapear: Shamet, McBride, Mitch Rob, Johnson
Upside but can also be -10 in 10 minutes: Clarkson, Kornet, Barnes, Alvarado, Bryant

Wish people would truly go watch what basketball was and what it is right now. The way the game is played right now is so fast. So skilled. Playing defense is like a whole new sport. I love it
Saw a clip circulating about how peak the 1998 NBA Finals were. Respectfully, cause it was ultra special in 1998, we’re watching peak basketball right now
Bigger. Faster. Stronger. More skilled. Better spacing. Not close.

End of the day the Knicks played that game like it was a game in November. Urgency was nonexistent. No offense was run in the 4th quarter.
Silver lining: if this doesn’t make Coach Brown and this team lock in then we know who they are.
Prediction was and still in Knicks in 6
Lets talk back of the baseball card and if this means anything to the mets turning around offensively.
Player: OPS NOW / Career OPS
Lindor: .577 / .814
Bichette: .574 / .800
Polanco: .532 / .768
Baty: .485 / .656 (.748 last yr)
Semien: .525 / .754 (.669 last yr)
Vientos: .596 / .727 (.702 last yr)
OH and Soto is out
So we all hate Sterns rn? 6 key bats are failing. Soto is out. Even if these players weren't hitting their peak numbers but NEAR their averages the Mets offense would be substantially better.
And for Baty, Vientos, and Semien - we aint even looking for crazy numbers just not horrid ones.
Is there a reason to think the team can level out? I think so. All these players for the most part have a track record. Not expecting Semien to go OPS .850 or Polanco to OPS .950 but where they are at right now is horrendous even for low end projections of their output.
Mendy will possibly catch the boot but at the end of the day, players have to hit to their ability. This lineup should not be this bad and I have to believe it will level out.
Mitchell Robinson is primed to have a BIG series against a Hawks front court too small to handle his rebounding dominance…
Talked about it on @SubwaySportsTlk:
