⚽️ A mixed night on week 3 of football league. The first two games lacked energy on our behalf and we drew 1-1 and lost 6-1. In game 3 it was like watching a brand new team as they battled to a well deserved 1-1 date! The final round of games is Jan 23! ⚽️
🏀 Year 4 took part in a Basketball festival at SBE school last week. They learnt the competitions specific rules quickly and won all of their games!! Well done team. 🏀
A couple of weeks ago some KS2 girls travelled over to Thornton College for XC/trail run. We had a number of illness drop outs on the day but were delighted that girls volunteered to step up & represent the school! Year 5/6 girls team finished 3rd & Year 3/4 5th out of 16 teams!
🏊🏼♀️ Year 4 swimmers (pictured the day after and minus a student!) won the MK Swim Gala. It was brilliant to hear their enthusiasm for the event and the stories they wanted to share when they came back into school! They LOVED the experience! 🏊
⚽️ A year 5 select team played against a year 6 select team on Wednesday evening as our original opponents were unavailable. Year 6 stormed into a lead until a comeback of sorts by year 5 who grew in confidence after scoring their first! Final score 6-2 to year 6. ⚽️
⚽️ We took part in a girls football festival at KHP last week. We had two teams; one team won all their games, the other won all their games except losing agains the other Middleton team! Huge efforts on a cold evening! ⚽️
🏀 Year 6 went to a Basketball Tournament last week. Their results were mixed (2wins, 2 draws and a loss), including beating the tournaments eventual winners. So many learning points across the evening so a positive experience 🏀
Last week we hosted a year 5/6 Cross country event for children who did not get to run at MK Bowl. The children, as ever, gave all the effort they had on the day! Some really pleasing performances and great to see them all cheering their teammates on!
⚽️⚽️ On Thursday, our boys team had their second round of fixtures. They won the first game 6-0 and lost their second 0-3 against a really strong team. Probably the best our team has played is in the loss however, so positives to be had! ⚽️⚽️
Also a huge congratulations to Ezra who won 🥉 in Year 3 boys and Joseph who won 🥇 in Year 4 boys races. LOTS of children finished in the top 10 which was awesome!
We had a huge number of Year 3&4 students run in a Cross Country event we hosted on Wednesday. On a tricky course and over a tough distance, they all ran as hard as possible and cheered loudly for their teammates!!
We had some medalists - Daesha 🥇 Year 3 girls, Samuel 🥇 and Joesph 🥉 Year 3 boys, Aleks 🥈Year 4 Boys. We also had lots of children finish in the top 10 which was great running!

⚽️⚽️ We took a Year 5/6 team to play a football match at Falconhurst School on Tuesday. Throughout the game all the boys grew into game both individually and collectively. They played some exciting football and scored some great goals. Well done to all of them! ⚽️⚽️
🏀🏀 We took some of our Year 6 students to play in a Basketball fixture with Two Mile Ash School. We were really impressed with our players who scored some excellent baskets and won numerous rebounds at either end. 🏀🏀
Some Year 2 Students took part Wyvern First School in a multi-skill festival that we hosted. As ever, their attitude and behaviour was outstanding, and it was great to see huge smiles from all of them. Plenty of Baskets scored too!!
Our Junior Girls Team won 🥇
Our Senior Boys Team 🥈
Our Junior Boys 🥉
Our Senior Girls did not medal but they deserved one for every ounce of effort they put in! #HWPO
There was success in other ways too! For some it was their first ever race! Others improved their placing by 20-30 places on the previous year! And one brave girl volunteered to run on the Monday having done none of the training and came home without walking once!
Individually - Callum 🥈 Senior boys, Miguel 🥉Junior boys, Andrea 🥈and Nikita 🥉 both Junior girls.
3 more children finished in the top 10 & will get asked to train with the MK squad for the National Schools event!
🥈 Overall Team Middleton came 2nd in the Ultra large Schools section. This is a brilliant achievement as the standard that all of the schools brought was so high! 🥈
On Saturday our Cross Country team were magnificent in the MK District championships this Saturday. We loved how vocally they supported each other, all of the team ran to their maximum and their preparation and dedication got them excellent results!
