Now with the trade, the only way the Red Sox current roster construction makes sense is to find someone to take Yoshida and half the salary. Yoshida and his money isn't a bench bat or even platoon. That roster spot is better used for another reliever.

I still believe in Hicks after a full offseason of being with the Red Sox. Your everyday lineup should include Rafaela, Duran, Wilyer, Anthony, Contreras, Story, Narv, Mayer, and the added bat they still need. Yoshida, Sandoval, and Crawford don’t have a spot on this roster.

Casas should absolutely start in AAA and the only way you sign Suarez is if you move Yoshida and clear the DH spot.

I for one am against moving Bello and honestly Duran too. You’re not gonna get good enough value back for either one to help win this year. Moving off of Yoshida and Sandoval would help you make another move to add someone impactful and they should be all in moving both to do so

Sign Eugenio Suarez to DH and play "some" infield if/when Casas plays his way back up from AAA where he should start the year

All of these things are easily doable by the Red Sox to finish off what would end up being a really good offseason:

Trade Duran or Abreu with Harrison and Romero for an infielder and bullpen arm.

Eat 5 million of Yoshida's salary for someone's 25th ranked prospect.
