Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture, Gayton McKenzie is appearing before Parliament to account for his department's R31 million expenditure on a delegation to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States and Mexico.
The trip, which included 151 participants, has drawn scrutiny from Members of Parliament over its cost.
McKenzie has defended the expenditure, insisting there is "nothing to hide" and noting that the details were fully disclosed in a parliamentary reply.
He also said the delegation figure excludes service providers, while private sponsors covered a portion of the overall costs.

Democratic Republic of Congo international Glody Makabi Lilepo has completed a permanent transfer from Kaizer Chiefs to Al Ahly Benghazi after the two clubs reached an agreement on the transfer fee.
The 27-year-old forward now begins a new chapter in Libya, with Kaizer Chiefs thanking him for his service and wishing him success for the rest of his football career.
