Shameless plug
but have y’all checked my NBA player and NFL QB websites?
Would love to hear any feedback on how I can make them better cause I have a ton of ideas, but want some real feedback (good and bad)
before working on new features.
The NBA Player Ranking Website is Live rn: https://t.co/pa4s0RpSWG
Also the NFL QB Ranking one: https://t.co/qnEqY7Kvvu
lmk if you have any feedback,
they have a ton of features (I think the https://t.co/Qr13ZAu5mM page is pretty cool), but still need to add polish / fix bugs
Should I make my version of 82-0?
I was working on a BITW page to track player rankings on a day by day basis for the last 80 years and also have 1962 Wilt (and Oscar) way greater than everyone else relative to era for some reason
NBA Finals detailed Playoff Series Odds:
- Spurs 62% favs win series
- SAS ~65% favs at home, NYK ~56% at home
- Knicks favored if leading series, SAS if tied/ahead
Most Likely Outcomes:
1. Spurs in 7 (20%)
2. Spurs in 5 (18%)
3. Knicks in 6 (16%)
4. Spurs in 6 (14%)
9+ mins into game 4
- Hartenstein at a star level (25%), every other Thunder very negative (McCain -40%, JWill -32%)
- Wemby 117%, Castle 73%, Vassell 62%
(of the average teams production)
Conference Finals
This currently has Cavs favored over Knicks because they beat a 1 seed vs 7 seed in the 2nd round,
so next step is accounting for how close the series was when updating team strengths (4 game sweep vs 7 game series, down 2-0)
How some series
update the relative strengths of teams
Sixers > Celtics
Wolves > Nuggets (the spike on the right is cause of the '95 Rockets)
Lakers > Rockets (right side is flat since no 4 or 5 seed ever won the title)
Cavs > Pistons
Something random I was looking into:
ranking playoff teams after the playoffs based on series wins and seed
here's what it says about the previous 4 playoffs, mildly interesting I guess how in 2023
PHI/PHX/NYK (3-5, R2) > LAL (7, R3) > MIL (1, R1)> GSW (6, R2)
