I have come across misleading videos on social media falsely claiming that the late Tamale Mirundi passed away due to "stress" caused by his dismissal from State House and that the government neglected him thereafter. This is entirely untrue. Mirundi continued to receive full support from the government including health insurance, a car, fuel, and security. During his time in the hospital, State House covered his medical expenses, paying 15 million UGX per week for his treatment at Kisubi Hospital. His older son, a medical doctor confirmed that Mr Mirundi passed away due to lung-related complications & at the time of his death, the government was in the process of arranging his transfer to abroad for further medical treatment.

May his soul rest in eternal peace and may God comfort his family, relatives & friends.
