A filtration system for a large dairy farm completed today. The water is taken from a river 60 meters higher than the farm. The parallel turbidity filters reduce suspended solids down to 5 microns or less and give a combined service flow rate of up to 26,000 litres per hour.

The system is specified to treat iron, turbidity and hardness. A 350 litre composite (anti corrosion) vessel was installed to give a good accumulation of water for peak demand.

As the filter system has been sited inside a warm porch of the house, neoprene jackets have been fitted to the filter vessels to reduce condensation build up.
