A new controversy is surrounding Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law and former senior White House adviser.

An excerpt from investigative journalist Matthew Cole’s new book, published by Vanity Fair, raises explosive allegations about secret financial arrangements involving Kushner, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

According to the account, Dutch military intelligence reportedly gained access to information from Kushner’s iPhone after discovering material obtained by Russian military intelligence.

The allegations go much further.

The book claims that Saudi and Emirati leaders discussed establishing a secret fund worth more than $10 billion to advance their geopolitical interests and potentially support projects associated with the Trump administration.

Although the full plan allegedly never materialized, sources cited by Cole claim that at least $2 billion was transferred through secret accounts accessible to Kushner.

The reported transactions allegedly included approximately $750 million routed through Azerbaijani banks, around $1 billion transferred to Israel, and additional funds connected to Cyprus.

The book further alleges that Kushner offered to advance the interests of Gulf monarchies within the Trump administration and played a role in confidential defense arrangements involving Israel and the UAE.

These are serious allegations, not established findings of criminal wrongdoing.

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee have demanded answers about whether American foreign policy was influenced by private financial interests.

The central question is devastatingly simple:

Was American foreign policy being shaped by national interests — or by secret financial arrangements benefiting politically connected individuals?

If these allegations are substantiated, the consequences could extend far beyond Kushner himself.

And with the November elections approaching, the controversy raises another uncomfortable question:

What else might eventually emerge about the financial dealings surrounding Trump's inner circle?
