Could Asda or Morrisons vanish within a decade?
Both owned by private equity, loaded with debt, cut staffing/wages, low investment, strangled by asset-stripping, losing market share.
What future for others being devoured by private equity?

@davepl1968 I read that as "For 100 years I ...", then as I approached the end of the sentence I began to think there was something not quite right and went back for another look. 🤣🤣
@RCAVictorCo@davepl1968 SCSI devices also need to have an address set. Cheap ones use jumpers inside but if there is an external switch as shown it is definitely SCSI.
Two connectors can also point to SCSI, but that is not essential.
@RCAVictorCo@davepl1968 1/ I would say it's probably SCSI. SCSI used several different connectors including 50 pin centronics and later (I think it was) 25 pin D type.
Here is one of each on a single cable.
"2m SCSI 1 D25 (M) to 50 Pin Centronic Cable"
@4FNC@CarlBovisNature I feel it was more likely harassing something, perhaps intent on lunch.
"Their diet is mainly fish, but amphibians, small reptiles, mammals and birds are also eaten"
@HenryTudorStan@CliveWismayer And making recommendations for more paediatric and perinatal pathologists when there was a trial where a retired consultant paediatrician with no pathology experience over-ruled the findings of 6 post mortems from 3 different pathologists none of whom found any evidence of harm.
@CarlBovisNature A beautiful image. Viewers, make sure you zoom the image.
Several detached fluttering feathers? Did something make a hasty escape?

@DrJPGannon@doctorcaldwell I have no medical expertise.
I never believed the "stable" story. It is obvious that babies in a neonatal unit are not well. If they didn't need to be there they wouldn't be there, or perhaps Brearey and Jayaram think it's simply theatre for the benefit of parent's anxieties?
The phrase ‘stable’ has no prognostic meaning when used to describe any premature or sick neonate. We use it to placate anxious parents, relatives and patients. It only suggests one set of observations hasn’t deviated significantly from a previous set.
The jury in Ms Letby’s trial were led to believe otherwise.
It is unconscionable for the CoCH consultants to have supported this fallacy. If they genuinely believed it then it further exposes their limited clinical acumen in managing sick premature neonates.
Juries are one of the most important safeguards in our justice system.
The proposal for judge-only trials in complex fraud cases relies heavily on the notoriously misunderstood Jubilee Line trial.
But that trial did not prove that juries cannot handle complex cases; it proved what happens when cases are badly managed.
We must not confuse the failure of the system with the failure of the jury.

@CPMorris1234@cheshirepolice But still no word on how his VERY public attack on @DavidDavisMP was resolved. Presumably the Operation Hummingbird detectives put his mind at ease - which is why we heard no more #lucyletby
