@ghoulsac@NateHoobs While it's almost certainly true that the only old stuff you hear about today was the best of what was on offer, I do think that a lot of what was made available in the West was already heavily curated, either by profitability concerns from distributors or fans picking favorites
@MS06ZAKU_II Most people, frankly, don't actually pay attention to voice actors. They're industry heavy hitters, yes, but it's pretty reasonable for Joe Schmoe to know them from the one place you actually see them physically and hear their name outside of the credits.
@PixiePrototype Any other series on the planet with even a fraction of the Pokรฉmon budget would give the character who's whole gimmick is transformation SOME kind of animation for it
@egoraptor Im pretty sure at least one of the old Lego Star Wars games used the Mos Eisley as a hub world with a bunch of doors you went through to enter levels, though you may have been able to go directly from one level to the next, its been a while
