Paul didn’t write the Gospels, so I’m not sure what that proves. We can look directly at what Jesus said and what the eyewitnesses recorded.
You say the Jews were waiting for the Messiah, not God. Ok, then who did the OT say the Messiah would be?
Isa. 9:6 calls the promised Son “Mighty God.” Mic. 5:2 says the ruler from Bethlehem is “from everlasting.”

Jesus says, “Before Abraham was, I AM” (Jn. 8:58). Thomas calls Him “My Lord and my God” (Jn. 20:28).
You are right about one thing- worshiping a mere man would be idolatry. So why did Jesus accept worship? That is definitely something worth thinking about.

I think I understand what you’re asking. No, I don’t think you can force yourself to believe something you’re not convinced is true. That’s actually why I shared the video. 🙂 Christianity isn’t asking you to shut off your brain and just believe. We don’t actually have blind faith, we have plenty of evidence for what we believe. Examine the evidence. Read what Jesus actually said and did. Ask questions. Sincerely Pray and ask Jesus to reveal Himself to you. Scripture says, “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). Start there. You may become convinced by what you find. 🙏

Psalm 55:22 is one of the most quoted verses in the book of Psalms, and for good reason. 🤍It’s especially powerful when you’re overwhelmed, hurting, or have been hurt by someone you trusted.

David is deeply troubled in this Psalm. He describes his heart as being in pain, fear coming over him, and even wishing he could just fly away and find rest. What makes his pain even deeper is that it wasn’t an enemy who hurt him. It was someone close to him, someone he trusted and shared fellowship with.

Then comes this beautiful reminder:

“Cast your burden on the LORD,
And He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.”
Psalm 55:22 🙏

The Psalm doesn’t tell us that we won’t have burdens. David certainly did. It shows us what to do with them.
Give them to the Lord.

We don’t have to fix everything. We don’t have to understand everything. We don’t have to carry everything ourselves.

I also love how David ends the Psalm. After pouring out all of his hurt, fear, and disappointment before God, he ends with these simple words:

“But I will trust in You.”
- Psalm 55:23 🤍

Sometimes that’s all we can say. 🥹
Lord, I don’t understand it, but I will trust You. 🙏

The Jews preserved these writings, some were certainly read & valued, but they were not ultimately included in the Jewish canon of inspired Scripture. The early church was not unanimous about the extra books. Some accepted them as Scripture, while others distinguished them from the Hebrew canon. The disagreement existed for centuries before Rome *dogmatically defined its canon at Trent in 1546. So, no. It’s 66 God-breathed, inspired books of Scripture. 🙏
