Full statements from Ole Miss and OPD:

*The statement was sent by a student - did not come from the IFC or the University.
*Univ would not confirm whether the student is associated with IFC in any way- but did not come from official IFC.
*The statement included several inaccuracies including: the number of students dead, all claims related to drugs remain unconfirmed and could not have possibly been known at the time the statement was sent.
*The student who sent, has since retracted the statement

The Daily Mississippian (Ole Miss's student news org) reported "Several fraternities and sororities at the University of Mississippi issued announcements to their members concerning the drug cychlorphine, a potent synthetic opioid that does not show up on standard fentanyl test strips. Such announcements urged members to avoid any unprescribed substances and to address suspected drug overdoses by administering Narcan, which can reverse the effects of a drug overdose... The presence of cychlorphine in the student deaths has not been confirmed by law enforcement at the time of publication."

Per the University, Oxford Police: There were no other drugs found present on the scene, other than Kratom, that we know of at this time.
