@LozHCooper@julesgambit Well, they compressed the rating list so the interval 1000-2000 became 1400-2000. The same players are still close to the floor, but the floor has a new number.
@GregShahade I tried to play 1.d4 in an OTB blitz gams once, but failed. I played 1.Qd4?! My opponent just gave me a "you sure about that?" look, and I switched my Queen for the pawn. And got wiped off the board.
@IglesiasYosha I thought of 26. Kd2?? a4?? from Carlsen-Anand (game 6, WCC match 2014) as I read the text, but seeing the position, this is mate in one. Hard to beat.
