It's that time of year! The temperatures are finally down and the donation boxes are out at all nine Spring Fire Stations. Help us help those in our community who need a hand up during the holidays. Drop off a new, unwrapped toy and/or some non-perishable food at any Spring Fire Station through Thanksgiving weekend. Spring families will be thankful you did.

We use rechargeable batteries every day, but they can pose a serious fire risk when they are damaged, overheated, or improperly charged.

Use the charger designed for your device, follow the manufacturer’s instructions, and never use a battery that shows signs of damage.

Watch today’s video for some important battery safety reminders.

It’s Fire Prevention Week!

This week, Spring Fire is looking at some of the simple things we can all do to prevent fires and, just as importantly, know what to do if one happens.

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing a short video each day covering an important fire safety topic. These are reminders for all of us, because being prepared before an emergency happens can make a difference when every second counts.

We’re kicking off the week with something everyone should know: how to stay low in a fire.

If you ever find yourself in a home filled with smoke, knowing how to move safely can help you get out. Watch today’s video to learn why staying low matters.
