The "exceptional nation" does not join the International Criminal Court.
Because the court is for nations that might be criminal.
The "exceptional nation" does not ratify the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Because conventions are for nations that need external accountability.
The "exceptional nation" passes legislation authorizing military invasion of The Hague if any American is ever brought before it.
This law is called, without irony, the American Servicemembers' Protection Act.
Protection.
From accountability.
And this causes no crisis of belief among the true believers.
Because the court was for other countries.
Justice was always for other countries.
They were always the ones who got to define it.
Nobody wants to live next to a war criminal... I've just signed my name calling for the government to investigate Brits who have returned from serving in the IDF - you should too! @DeclassifiedUK https://t.co/6KbDGUXBrM
Add your name to those of lawyer Michael Mansfield, former General Charlie Herbert, barrister Daniel Machover, genocide scholar Martin Shaw, Yanis Varoufakis, surgeon Ghassan Abu Sittah, MPs J.Corbyn, J.McDonnell, Diane Abbott and many others, and sign here 👇
Tonight at 1:30 AM (Tehran time), four tankers attempted to illegally exit the Strait of Hormuz under US misguidance. One was struck and stopped. Three turned back.
The US responded by hitting two telecom towers with drones in Qeshm.
We responded by striking two US air bases and what remains of the Fifth Fleet — if anything — with ballistic missiles.
Try us again. Next time, Hormuz shuts completely. And you will have no one to blame but yourselves.
So don't wake what you can't put back to sleep!
[Andy] "Burnham declined to describe the catastrophe on the ground in Gaza as a genocide."
Please RT this -until the man who expects to be PM - no longer declines to describe the IDF's crimes in Palestine & Lebanon as a GENOCIDE.
Thank you.
This tells you all you need to know...
Burnham wouldn't have Corbyn back in the party (if he applied), but he "would like to continue working with Simons," who was a key player in the Mandelson-McSweeney-Starmer project.
Burnham is business as usual. https://t.co/XJ6Hutr4of
I have signed a letter to the Government, alongside over 100 MPs, calling for the UK to urgently reopen and scale up medical evacuations for critically ill children in Gaza.
We cannot ignore the scale of suffering. The war has devastated Gaza's health system and thousands of children are trapped without access to life-saving treatment.
The UK has a moral duty to act.
Belgian representative exposes European hypocrisy!
"You consider expelling the Iranian ambassador — but for two whole years of genocide, none of you demanded to expel the Israeli ambassador. This is shameful!" 🇧🇪🔥🇪🇺🎯🇮🇱🇮🇷
On 12th June -10am–5pm.
After never having been charged with - & never having been found guilty of terrorism - Pro-Palestine activists will be sentenced for terrorism.
A first in UK history.
Please RT this until this travesty of justice is ended.
Thank you.
WELL DONE @superdrug 👏👏👏
Superdrug have removed ALL Ahava products due to their link with illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
Thank you for having a moral compass!
Let’s hope more companies follow suit….
Andy Burnham says he "can't judge" if the Israeli military's crimes in Gaza are a genocide.
The experts already have.
A UN commission, the International Association of Genocide Scholars, and leading rights orgs all agree: it's genocide.
Andy, why won't you call it what it is?
It is absolutely necessary that every British citizen who goes to fight for the IDF is arrested on their return to the UK in relation to war crimes, crimes against humanity and GENOCIDE
