This weekend was a big one for both the Bruise Brothers and the Bruise Sisters as it was ticket punching time for the TSSAA state tournament. We had 2 boys &2 girls qualify for State. Boys were Seniors Connor Reeves and Donald Rogers. Girls Jr. Ella Lax and Sr. Makaylyn Coleman.

Monday 1/20/25 the Bruise Sisters made SHS history by winning the ARA Memorial Invitational hosted by Sycamore High school. This is the first Tournament win for the Bruise Sisters as a Team in program history. The girls took 1st place out of 22 teams and did it with only 6 girls.

The Bruise Brothers traveled to Father Ryan High School for the Johnny Drennan Invite. 55 schools from 7 different states had wrestlers competing in this 2 day tournament. Senior Connor Reeves battled his way through a tough bracket and took 7th place out of the 55 schools.

Another big moment tonight was when Connor Reeves recorded his 100th career victory with a pin in his match against district/region opponent Clarksville. Such a great accomplishment and he was able to share it with his teammates, family, coaches, and fan! Proud of you Connor!

Tonight the bruise brother and sisters traveled to Dickson county for matches against DC and Clarksville. Springfield ended up winning both the duel and improved to 3-0 on the season in duels.

Shout out to our bruise brothers and bruise Sister who placed at the Coyote Classic today. Connor Reeves (2nd) Cartiair Quezaire (3rd) Donald Rogers (3rd) and Makaylyn Coleman (2nd). First big tourney of the year. All wrestlers are back in action again this Tuesday.

Congrats to Robertson County wrestlers Nik Taylor, Abby Page and Mikiah Souza for being named to the TSWA All-State Wrestling Team.

All three were fantastic in their senior seasons and earned the @ConnectionRC’s top awards.
