Here at Springfield Farm the Spring Barley was direct drilled on the 17th of May into uncultured ground with the @MzuriDrills Pro-Til 480 iGen. We are very pleased with the crop considering there has been little rain since drilling.

Yesterday we hosted the @MzuriDrills Spring Open Day. Farm Manager Nick Baxter, alongside founder of Mzuri Martin Lole, discussed the current farm cropping, establishment methods and how the system has improved the soil profile.

Here at Springfield Farm this week the Oilseed Rape was sprayed with the last application of fungicide. The field was sown using the @MzuriDrills iPass and has grown into an even and strong crop.

The Winter Wheat has recently had a second dressing of fertiliser at an application rate of 152kgs/ha of protected urea, which delivered 70kgs/ha of actual N. The OSR received a final dressing of Nitrogen at the same application rate. #crops

This week a trial field of the 5” hoe coulter for Izona for max width of distribution of OSR seed. Not what we would normally do, but an interesting set up for those who have cultivated. The heavens opened but the izona wasn’t fazed. This is the izona iPass 624

We were delighted that the barley sold at an impressive 11t/ha and after 5 days of wet weather, we have finally been able to get in the field with the new @IzonaDrill low disturbance subsoiler. It's still damp but the izona has done a fantastic job behind the challenger
