This whole down syndrome abortion discourse is marred by vice and virtue signalers alike. Pro-lifers who make babies bound to have a severe disability out to be some sort of wholesome pets, not considering the complexities and genuine challenges of raising them. Not everyone is cut out for doing that.
I'd say those who are pro-choice that have some concerns over eugenicist rhetoric are often valid in their takes, some are overextending it to those who simply go "I'm not cut out for raising a baby with a severe disability".
The whole abortion debate is really morally and ethically muddied whenever it ventures into territory like this. Pro-choicers will start going towards "but life would be sad and hard for it" rhetoric to justify an abortion, often reifying the status quo. Then you got vice signaling misanthropic neo-malthusians doing whatever they do, edging their dicks out in the whole discourse.
Utter and complete shitshow. Simply, it should be that if its before fetal viability, abort a fetus or whatever if you want, if its a threat to the mother's life, go ahead.
