Which play, in your opinion, is the best example 2 show why USC is running away with their tails tucked?
For me, it’s Kinnon Tatum’s hit when Keyshawn Johnson and SC talked so much trash about ND before the game.
Derrick Mayes famously said “some people can do it with their mouth, and we proved we can do it through action!”
@bobmorton Yea that’s the most upsetting part for me as well. Last year they’d all rush the scoring player like they were long lost brothers. Show me some passion!!
@josh_walburger@Romancane Best response. We can compare stadiums and fans until the cows come home but at the end of the day, if ND plays their game, it doesn’t matter if the game is on the moon, Miami’s fans will be heading for the exits before the 4th qtr starts.
@CaniacChris@rationalNDfan I respect this answer. Unfortunately most Miami fans aren’t like you. Nobody has you confused with Gator fans. The majority of Miami fans are expecting a win because they think the 2017 Fighting Irish w/Brian Kelly are coming again.
@TitleWitnesser8 I don’t care if Miami had Tom Brady at QB. When you have no WR’s what are you expecting to happen vs this secondary?! U haven’t seen a defense this good since 2023 vs FSU and the last time ur QB had avg WRs, he was an INT machine! What r truthfully expecting?!
@TitleWitnesser8 @ClutchSportsND @423TennesseeND You really can’t fix stupid. Miami’s fanbase and beat writers really think this is Brian Kelly’s Notre Dame. Unbelievable.

I swear, if Notre Dame got 21 games vacated for self reporting an academic issue they discovered (proper protocol) but michigan doesn’t lose any games for covering up 3 years of cheating, we may have to consider burning the NCAA to the ground.
Am I casual football fan by pointing out that USC ranked 117th in the country at sacking opposing QBs percentage with 4.39% and 92nd for only 21 sacks? SCs “stacked DL” also ranked 82nd in rushing yds allowed per game.
Anthony Lucas, even with his sky high potential, didn’t record a single sack in the 6 games he played in.
You also have 2 transfers on the DL.
-Keeshawn Silver - 0 sacks in 3 season of CFB
-Jamaal Jarrett - 0 sacks in 2 seasons and barely saw the field at Georgia.
So please, what am I missing. Not trying to be a smartass. Just wondering what I’m missing here.
Riley Leonard dang near won the national championship with Notre Dame, got selected in the NFL Draft and got engaged in the same calendar year.
Still, 2 out of 3 ain’t bad. And he saved the most important life moment of the three for last.
Congrats to No. 13 and his fiancée.
Irish fans were all impressed with Maiva. An absolute gunslinger, that threw some ridiculous balls and no team had as much success offensively vs ND than what USC did. They passed for the most yardage than anyone else and had the highest PerRushAvg than any other Irish opp. But offensive firepower is a given when playing Lincoln Riley’s USC.
The problem is your defense. Especially your defensive mental and physical toughness. It’s just not there and I’ve never seen anything like it with a USC program.
With that said, I don’t think any Irish fan thought SC was going to win that game. You guys were hanging around and moving the ball better than anyone, but most of us weren’t too worried. ND was also moving the ball at will and there was no way that THAT Irish defense wouldn’t buckle down at some point.
Again…..let’s rewind back to where I said when Notre Dame played in the national title game. You’re literally worse than a woman. Always trying to branch off into separate arguments instead of staying focused. So there was 3 and I don’t care if there was 12 undefeated seasons! Do you need hooked on phonics?! How many times did Brian Kelly play for the National Title at Notre Dame? That was clearly his best season, hence I used THAT season!
@shadeaux_LXS@DanCable11@bruce_straughan@IrishTexan25 Reading comprehension can be difficult. I get it. Kelly had 2 undefeated regular seasons but only once did he play for a National Title. THINK b4 pressing send.
Brian Kelly’s best season was with Charlie Weis’ players, so what’s your point?
Manti, Eifert, Zach Martin, Motta, Toma, Riddick, Calabrese, Kapron Lewis-Moore, Nix, TJ Jones, Shembo, Rees, Bennett Jackson….all Weis recruits who were a part of the 2012 12-1 team that played for the National Championship. So again, what’s your point?
