@AbsoluteDnyL @TheGameVerse No reason outside of the fact you can still walk into a Target and walk out with a PS5. You can't and won't be able to do that with a Steam Machine or Deck. But if PS6 is $1,000, digital only, that's going to be their slow death.

@AbsoluteDnyL @TheGameVerse Historically, consoles like the PS were a lot cheaper than "investing" in a PC. For $299 - $499 you got a state of the art console with exclusive titles. Exclusive offerings all but stopped except for Nintendo. So to answer your question, I guess no reason anymore.

@TheGameVerse Cameras? I can think of maybe 2 people who have one and they are ranked #2 behind Canon. Phones? Not even sold stateside anymore. TV's? Sony is at 3% market share globally. What else am I missing?

@TheGameVerse I remember when Sony consumer electronics side did just about everything better than its competitors and Playstation was just something they decided to try. Turns out, it's the biggest thing they do now and everything else fell off. PS6 flopping could kill that stock forever.
