"...shall not be infringed." this clearly puts emphasis on the formation of a militia, to a more effective end than the ones put in place during our war for independence. the 2nd didnt say "you have the right to bear arms, "CUZ GUNZ R KEWL!" there was responsibility involved.

decades of poor education and repeated mantra of "the right to bear arms" has led to people thinking thats what the 2nd amendment entailed. when in reality it was "a well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to bear arms..."

these militia members would be given a constitutional amendment, exempting them from the draft but to be used as auxiliary law enforcement alongside police in wartime (draft) situations. thus lending true responsibility to the "right to bear arms" as the 2nd amendment intended.

these milita meetings would focus on Gun safety, proper training exercises, proper gun storage, militia licensing (who among your household is authorized to wield the gun and obligated to attend) and registration with authorities (militia) after passing proper checks.

Idea on gun laws. if you own a gun not classified as a pistol or Bolt action (hunting) then you are obligated to register as a member of a local or town militia and attend meetings/training. you know, how the 2nd amendment MEANT for you to have guns? not just to have?
