24 years ago today, Into the Woods aired, and Riley left this show, sadly not forever but almost forever. We got Spike looking more concerned about causing Buffy hurt by showing him her boyfriend's extracurriculars than Riley was about actually betraying her.

Riley left, in part, because he felt Buffy wasn't letting him support her the way HE wanted to support her. Not the way support would have actually helped her.

Here, Spike is holding a sword in place so that Buffy can climb on top of the RV and do some hero shit.
