We became traders to take back control of life.
We don’t want to waste a single second doing things we don’t enjoy.
This is about owning life just as much as having fun — you only live life to the fullest when you feel at your best.
Some things are worth the effort.
"You don't need a finance degree to be a trader."
That's true.
But if you think you can make real money without relentless learning, you'll lose it all.
Knowledge is key.
Does this trade excite me?
Does this trade have a good setup?
Does this trade have good risk/return?
If the answer is yes to all three, go all in.
If the answer is no, say no.
I love trading.
There's something special about clicking buttons on the computer to make money.
It's just you exploring your trade setups and executing them. It can be frustrating. But, it can be rewarding.
You might not like it.
But the truth is that as a trader you HAVE to control what you can control.
Headlines and CNBC invoke fear.
Your process will win in market fear and greed.
Traits of every writer I admire:
• Results-oriented
• Calm under pressure
• Calculated risk taker
• Independent thinker
• Data (not emotion) driven
• Taking market feedback objectively
Trying to do each of these myself.
If you’re struggling to become a trader:
Think in the opposite direction.
• “What emotion led to the trade?”
• “Did I follow a specific trade setup”
When your trading is undeniably NOT working, that means you are rushing the process.
Think of trading as your "clay". You have to mold it.
• Remove greed
• Swap emotions with plans
• Turn each trade into a learning
• Improve trade strategy and execution
Make whatever happens your opportunity to grow.
