During an argument with his wife, Moore allegedly threatened to kill himself. He then drove to – and broke into – the home of his assistant, where he held a knife to his own throat and threatened to kill both himself and the staffer.

He was then intercepted at a local church after his wife provided his phone’s location to the authorities. He is now in protective custody.
