Hey @beachboardwalk what’s the deal with overly aggressive security guards harassing families, swearing, and threatening to use their guns?
Those are not real police officers and they are clearly not trained properly. @santacruz should rethink security on the boardwalk.
@angel_kld No worries! I have roughly 3500 games of the roughly 12,000 games. Some are lost media (no tv coverage) but there are maybe 11,500 in the nba vault. Most are unconverted to video.
@Danko8c That theory is debunked fairly quickly once you understand how the model works. Anyone grasping at those straws are either uninformed or delirious. 🙃
@dancingwithnoah@winston3453 There’s a few more up there that’s a little too big for their britches. Koncak got some sixth man aura that’s making him high on this list: Comes in early against a fatigued starting line and performs moderately well, which makes him look better than a starter.
@cover81 That’s a fair assessment from RAPM alone. But it would behoove any decision maker to take into consideration many other factors: production, behavior, fit with teammates (skillwise), etc.
@WildcatMadDog Aside from natural variance, you should really see the games Mahorn played in from that era. There's a reason the guys in Detroit loved him and were upset about the expansion draft.
I'm not sure you understand your own point you're trying to make.
@WildcatMadDog That’s not what RAPM suggests. It’s a linear model that tris to capture the effect of team performance when a player is on the court.
They can be a stat gobbler and lose. They can also not fill a box score but do all the little things to help win — like Grant on CHI and ORL.
@dash_r_media This is traditional RAPM but for the pre-Play-By-Play era. The games played are games that have been tracked down for video and curated into a stint database.
There's a couple thousand games, but there's much more to go.
