Jesus gives us a powerful answer in Luke 6: 27-28

"But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you."

That's not always easy. Our natural response is to fight back, hold a grudge, or want them to feel what they made us feel.

But Jesus calls us to something different.

Pray for them. Bless them. Forgive them.

Why? Because when we choose to love instead of hate, we're becoming more like Christ.

You may not be able to change what someone did to you, but you can choose how you respond.

Today, let's choose the way of Jesus.

Proverbs 27:17 says:

Choose friends who encourage you, challenge you, and point you toward Christ.

We train our bodies to become stronger. We go to the gym, we run, we eat better, and we stay disciplined.

But Paul tells us in 1 Timothy 4:7, “Train yourself to be godly.”

Just like physical training, spiritual strength doesn’t happen by accident.

We have to train ourselves daily in God’s Word. Train ourselves to pray. Train ourselves to trust God. Train ourselves to walk in obedience.

And every day, we need to put on the full armor of God.

Because we’re not just training our bodies for this life, we’re training our souls for eternity.

So take care of your body, yes. But don’t neglect your soul.

Get in the Word. Pray. Put on the armor. And train yourself to be godly.

“But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.” — James 1:22

This weekend, don’t just attend church. Be the church.

Forgive when it’s hard.
Love when it’s inconvenient.
Serve without expecting recognition.
Walk in humility.
Honor Christ in everything you do.

The world doesn’t need more people who can quote Scripture. It needs more disciples whose lives reflect it.
