Una propuesta basada en estudios geológicos advierte sobre el peligro de reconstruir de forma idéntica las zonas afectadas de La Guaira, señalando que gran parte de su suelo está compuesto por abanicos aluviales (mezcla de sedimentos, arena y piedras sueltas). Ante sismos potentes, estos terrenos sufren de licuefacción, un fenómeno en el cual el suelo pierde toda su solidez y se comporta temporalmente como un líquido, comprometiendo la estabilidad de cualquier estructura sin importar sus materiales.

Frente a un patrón histórico recurrente de deslaves y terremotos (registrados en 1798, 1900, 1951, 1967, 1999 y el reciente sismo de 2026), se plantea la urgencia de romper el ciclo de reconstrucción improvisada y aplicar el protocolo internacional de "construir mejor" bajo tres pilares fundamentales:

- Aceptar el mapa de riesgo: Identificar con transparencia los sectores habitables y declarar zonas de exclusión total donde esté estrictamente prohibido volver a edificar.

- Planificar una reubicación apropiada: Diseñar y proyectar nuevos urbanismos en terrenos continentales que cuenten con suelo firme y estabilidad geológica comprobada, en lugar de entregar materiales para reconstruir sobre las mismas zonas de peligro.

- Convertir el riesgo en oportunidad: Transformar las franjas costeras no aptas para viviendas en parques de mitigación, zonas de vegetación protectora para absorber el impacto de las lluvias y espacios públicos de calidad, garantizando que nunca más se levanten torres residenciales de alta densidad en dichos sectores.

O modelo acima é o SF-25 de Lewis Hamilton, com 5,5m de comprimento e cerca de 3,60m de entre-eixos. A largura e diâmetro dos pneus também é maior, de 72cm, com rodas aro 18.

Abaixo está o modelo F93A de Jean Alesi, que tinha 4,35m de comprimento e 2,93m de entre-eixos. Os pneus eram mais estreitos e menores, com 66cm de diâmetro e rodas aro 13.

In 1943, Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann accidentally absorbed a tiny amount of LSD through his fingertips and spent the afternoon mildly hallucinating at his desk. Three days later he accidentally took 10 times than the standard recreational dose.

He drank what he believed was a cautiously small dose, and unknowingly took ten times a modern recreational amount with no frame of reference whatsoever.

At precisely 4:20pm on April 19, Hofmann dissolved 250 micrograms in water and drank it.

By 5:00pm his lab journal entries were deteriorating. Dizziness. Anxiety. Visual disturbance. Writing became impossible.

He asked his assistant to take him home. Wartime Basel had banned private cars, so the only option was a bicycle.

He spent the ride convinced his neighbour was a witch and that he had gone permanently insane. April 19 is now celebrated annually as Bicycle Day.

Hofmann later discovered that 20 to 30 micrograms were sufficient for noticeable effects. He had taken more than twelve times that amount.

He lived to 102, took small doses for the rest of his life, and called LSD his "problem child." He never regretted discovering it.
