💠 Kanchanmala Pande, a talented para-swimmer had won many Int'l medals including a 4th place at 2010 Asian Games. In the form of her life, Kanchan reached Berlin in 2017 to compete and qualify for World Ch'ps!

🔹Adversity strikes: Due to the allotted funds not reaching in time, she struggled for basic things like lodging and travel. Even had to resort to beg at one point, Kanchan put setbacks behind and qualified for 4 events in World's 🏊‍♀️

Oly Champion @Abhinav_Bindra raised the issue and @GoSportsVoices pitched in & provided a scholarship to Kanchan who went onto become ➡️
1st Indian Para Swimming World Champion in 200 IM (SM11) in Mexico 🏆🥇

Kanchan also had Top-5 finishes in 100m Freestyle, Backstroke & Breaststroke. No tide was strong enough to break the spirit of the. Champion swimmer! 💪
