For years, many companies in India sold "frozen desserts" in the name of ice cream using palm oil and other vegetable fats instead of real milk.

But today, Kwality Wall's global CEO has announced that by next year, their products will become real ice creams, with milk instead of palm oil.

Honestly, just the way we criticize brands we need to appreciate them too when they do a good job! This is what happens when people start reading labels and asking questions.

I saw some adverse comments about a bag carrying service started by a company.

As I repeatedly say, most of us have no clue about the real India, be it wealth or income or employment.

58% of labour force, 327 million people are self employed. We know how many of the self employed struggle to survive. Added to that 33% of them, more than a 100 million people, are unpaid helpers in household enterprises.

A mere 9% of country's labour force has job contract, which means they are in formal employment like having appointment letters, leave policy and so on.

Be it income or employment, most of the Indians lead a tough life.

Top 3% are doing very well.
Top 10% are doing fine.
Next 10% is managing.
Survival is a challenge for the remaining 70% to 80%.

And you know what is the definition for employment. If you've worked for just 30 days in a year, you are considered as employed for the year.

So if carrying bags for a customer in a shopping mall fetches Rs.200 per hour, it is a decent opportunity for majority of the labour force in our country.

Is this is the best our country can offer can be debated endlessly.

The reality is Rs.800 per day would help a family to survive.

I know you dislike the fact that Tamil has any link to Sanskrit but your very name, Saravanan is Śaravaṇa (शरवण) meaning "reed forest" in Sanskrit and it would be pronounced Shravan in Hindi.

The word Dravida is also Sanskrit and through Bengali, it is present in our National Anthem.

Yet, your entire movement has tried to erase the deep cultural, spiritual and linguistic bonds that tie Tamilagam and Bharatam together. Tamil Nadu is Bharat.
