Prime Minister Hun Manet opened the International Conference on Combating Online Scams on Wednesday, saying Cambodia's early exposure to the industry "was linked to the growth of online gambling and casino-related businesses."
More than a dozen countries are attending the two-day conference in Phnom Penh, where the government is keen to showcase its crackdown on the multibillion-dollar industry.
