As everything slowly begins to sink-in, and after finally getting some sleep last night, I wanted to share a small personal note…✍️

The first call I made after Vikram-1 successfully reached orbit was to my Dad.

He is the man who made my journey possible—with dreams for me far bigger than the ones I had for myself, and by simply never giving up on me.

Until my 8th standard, I was a bad student. I scored 51 marks in Maths and even failed another subject. Back then, I could never have imagined that I would one day make it to an IIT—or have the privilege of contributing to India’s first privately developed rocket reaching orbit, making India only the third country in the world to achieve this.

When I called him after the launch, he just cried.

And cried.

He couldn’t speak a single word.

But I understood every word he couldn’t say.

I managed to hold back my tears when Vikram-1 reached orbit. But somehow, writing this, I can’t.

Thank you, Dad. ❤️

And a big shout-out to every dad who dreams big for their children—and never gives up on them. 🙏

For over four decades, Amara Raja has been more than just one of Andhra Pradesh's greatest industrial success stories. It has created world-class manufacturing, generated thousands of jobs, and carried the name of Chittoor and Andhra Pradesh across India and the world.

The harassment your company endured under the previous government should never have happened. An entrepreneur who chose to build in his home state deserved encouragement, not intimidation. It pains me that a company born in Andhra Pradesh had to look beyond our borders for its next chapter of growth.

As we rebuild trust, I want you to know this: Andhra Pradesh is once again open for enterprise. We hope Amara Raja's biggest chapters will still be written in the state where its journey began. Our doors, and our hearts, will always remain open. Best wishes on your new Telangana facility.

Tharoor ji, I assume you meant 40 additional MPs from UP rather than 90, because a 50% increase would take UP from 80 to 120 seats and Kerala from 20 to 30.

More importantly, your salary analogy overlooks the key point: if every state receives a 50% increase, the relative representation of each state remains unchanged.

Kerala’s influence is not measured against UP alone. Today, Kerala (20), Andhra Pradesh (25), Tamil Nadu and Puducherry (40) together have 85 seats against UP’s 80. After a 50% increase, they would together have about 128 seats against UP’s 120.

So if every state is increased proportionately, the relative balance between states remains broadly intact.

Naidu ji, let’s try a thought experiment. Say your salary is 2 lakhs and your driver’s is 20,000. You announce a 50% increase for everybody. Your salary is now 3 lakhs and your driver’s is 30,000. The percentage or proportional increase is the same — but aren’t you much better off than your driver, than you used to be?

That’s what your fellow Southern CMs are concerned about. You don’t think there’s any difference between UP’s 80 MPs today versus Kerala’s 20 MPs, if it tomorrow becomes 120 vs 30? Some proportionate difference, huge difference in political weight — with 90 more UP MPs against 10 more Kerala MPs. Is that of no concern to you at all?

The exchange underscored how meaningful dialogue fosters greater understanding and strengthens partnerships between nations.

It was a privilege to meet the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr. Lawrence Wong, and discuss new opportunities for partnership between Singapore and Andhra Pradesh.

Our discussions focused on semiconductors, AI, quantum technologies, R&D, university partnerships, urban governance, leadership development, logistics and advanced manufacturing. I also shared Andhra Pradesh’s progress in developing Amaravati as a globally benchmarked capital city with world-class infrastructure and institutions. Prime Minister Wong appreciated the vision and progress and expressed confidence in its future potential.

We also explored cooperation in natural farming, aquaculture, food exports, healthcare, clean energy, green hydrogen and green ammonia.
