These two headlines appeared just before the 2016 polls.
No sooner had BOU lost 27b to fraudsters than Museveni splashed the same amount on campaigns.

There’s a small cabal of mongrels at the Ministry of Health @MinofHealthUG with a voracious appetite for donor cash who are willing to hold the whole country hostage.

They look nostalgically back to the days of COVID when they were the center of the world; donor cash was flowing, supplementary budgets passed on a whim, and their apartment blocks in the Kampala suburbs were rising faster than hot-air balloons.

They keep trying to relive the COVID days by constantly manufacturing pandemics to arm twist bazungu. Within three days of America turning off its aid taps, they announced a recurrence of Ebola. It’s predictable and shameless.

It’s callous too, because several legitimate businesses are suffering immensely as a result. Tourism is on its knees, Ugandans traveling abroad are subjected to humiliating quarantine all because some civil servants are scheming for free money. The rest of the country can go hang. They don’t give a nickel.

Now consider the absurdity of this headline from several months ago. They wanted money for the “next outbreak”. How ridiculous!

There has to be a change at the Ministry of Health before those clowns turn Uganda into the pandemic capital of the world.
