@ardan_blade One of the most frustrating aspects of Mechwarrior 5 is that there's almost no room to have anything lighter than a heavy mech in the late game, due to the sheer amount of accurate firepower. I'd be overjoyed to see missions or gameplay that allowed for a late game medium lance.

@MW5Mercs That's a cool feature. I really like doing the "Kill X of Mech Y" cantina missions, and it always feels like a crapshoot if you're going to find it in any system. Getting an in game way to find that information is nice, as is having lore/stats to read and collect in game

@tM8JkWe4fG70vds The King Crab KCC-CAR is a brute, and one of my favorite 'Mechs to hand to my squad mates. Enemies tend to evaporate in front of it.

@ardan_blade Gotta be the Thunderbolt. It can hold the line, handle a variety of roles and it's relatively cheap to repair. I can't think of a better mainline Heavy Mech for a small state.

@ardan_blade Let's see, I have Locusts and Wolfhounds for lights, and a Sentinel for direct fire support. I'm going to need a versatile workhorse that can hold the line. Prefer a Centurion, but the Enforcer will do nicely instead.

@ardan_blade @earlynegurin Sarna's Bad 'Mech articles are amusing, but highly inaccurate and sensational. There are very few 'bad' 'Mechs, but there are many situational or less efficient 'Mechs. And a lot of them are average or even great 'Mechs once you start applying in universe logic.

@ardan_blade Locust for sure, due to the low cost, speed and versatility. If possible, I'd tool the factory to be able to produce a handful of the 1S variant as well.

@ardan_blade I'll take a Wolfhound. The other three are solid light 'Mechs, but I think the Wolfhound is the best generalist of the group. Firestarter is a close second, infantry needs to be cleared and it can scout in a pinch.

There's a powerful discontent that comes from knowing that things aren't the way they should be, but not knowing how to set them right, and fearing I don't have the energy or power to do so if I did know. Trust in God is hard during that discontent.

@ardan_blade Agreed with you on both points. Imagine how much more interesting the visuals of the world would be if weapons and armor varied from manufacturer to manufacturer. A Lyran CN9-A would look different from a Kuritan one, with a similar silhouette that was still distinct.
