Imagine an universal observer, let's call him Brahma, for whom even the cosmic background radiation against which we measure earth's speed as 370 km/s is moving.

Now, for this Brahma, if earth were moving at 0.992 times the speed of light c (0.992c) in one age (age 1), then reduced to 0.986c in the next age (age 2), and 0.968c in the next age (age 3), and 0.866c in the fourth age (age 4)...

... the years in age 1 will be 4 times longer than age 4, and years in age 2 will be 3 times longer than age 4, and years in age 3 will be 2 times longer than age 4. According to relativity, from his frame of reference.

Also people will age four times slower in age 1, three times slower in age 2, two times slower in age 3, all compared to age 1.

And if we take age 1 is Satya Yuga, age 2 as Treata Yuga, age 3 as Dwapara Yuga, and age 4 as Kali yuga, all checks out in this thought experiment I just did.

So when they say Satya Yuga was 4 times as long as Kali Yuga and people lived 4 times longer, they are probably meaning it from an universal observer frame. The Brahma.
