Start small? Say you bootstrap a validator with just 2 XNT self-stake. At 8% APY, you're earning ~0.16 XNT/year in voting rewards. But here's the magic: X1's Stake Pool Delegation Program auto-delegates from the foundation to kickstart you. Boom – your effective stake jumps (e.g., to 10k+ XNT delegated), boosting your APY on that tiny self-stake. Suddenly, you're pulling in 80 XNT in rewards like a pro. That's 42x!
Scale it? With 1000 XNT self-stake, you're looking at ~240 XNT/year base, plus whatever delegations pile on. It's compounding decentralization!

2. Commission from Delegators: Turn Your Node into a Yield Farm

X1 is dPoS, so XNT holders delegate to you without running nodes. This supercharges your voting power and leader odds, while you skim a commission off the inflation rewards earned on their stake.

How it works: Set your commission (max 10% for bonus eligibility). You deduct it from gross rewards; delegators get the rest pro-rata. Attract delegations by being performant and low-commission. Why it's exciting: It's like running your own staking pool! More delegations = more power = more rewards across the board. And with X1's low barriers, anyone can delegate to you.

Example:
Imagine your validator has 1000 XNT self-stake and pulls in 600k XNT delegations (common for solid nodes). At 8% APY and 10% commission: Gross rewards 48k XNT/year. You pocket ~4.8k XNT in commission, plus your pro-rata share (72 XNT) from the net – totaling ~4.9k XNT/year!

3. Block Rewards from Production: The High-Octane Lottery Win

Not just voting – you can be selected as the "leader" to produce blocks and pocket ALL transaction fees in them. Selection? Stake-weighted but boosted by performance and randomness for fairness. How it works: High uptime = better odds. Produce a block, get it confirmed by >67% validators (stake/performance-weighted), and claim fees.

Why it's exciting: Variable but HUGE upside! As X1 grows (DeFi, apps, users), tx fees explode. Perform well, and you're printing money from real network activity.

Example:
With your 2 XNT starter node + foundation delegations, you're in the mix for leader slots. Land one block with, say, 10 XNT in fees? Half of that is yours! Example:
Bare minimum? Stake 1000 XNT self – qualify for full +16% on that. At base 8% APY, that's ~80 XNT/year voting + bonus uplift to ~240 XNT/year, PLUS all other block rewards. Got 10k XNT? Max bonus cap – earn on the full amount with +16% turbo. But smart play: Split across 5 nodes (2000 XNT each) with your 10k total. Each qualifies (min 1k), maximizing decentralization and rewards without waste. Compare to your 2 XNT starter: No bonus yet, but grind to 1k self-stake, and BAM – unlock that +16% layer. It's designed to level up fast!

5. Bonus: Testnet Legacy Rewards

If you crushed the incentivized testnet, you're vesting XNT now (90% over 365 days, proportional to mainnet uptime). 10% claimed at genesis to stake immediately.

Example:
1B credits = 20k XNT total (2k immediate, 18k vesting). If you stay online full year you unlock it all. It's the cherry on top for OGs!
