@Brettsr1@Savageboston@GregABedard Man you’re really on some good stuff if you think a team is trading a 2027 1 and 3 for a 29 year old receiver who wants out!
@QuinyonLockss@thomasrp93 Thank you for making my point <3 As a Patriots fan--I am repulsed by the idea that we would consider trading a 1st for him.
@SwizzyNick@Savageboston@GregABedard Cool. The Eagles have no leverage in trading their disgruntled 28 (turning 29 next month) year old receiver who they already drafted a replacement for. If the Eagles want a 1st, tell them to kick rocks and enjoy another year of AJB.
@DrewLocks2@FascismDefeat@Savageboston@GregABedard That's fair -- forgot about Waddle. Doesn't change my mind on trading for AJB. I'm fine making the move, but not at that price tag for a disgruntled player.
@DrewLocks2@FascismDefeat@Savageboston@GregABedard Show me the inferior receiver dealt for a 1+. Who said anything about $43 million in dead cap? Patriots take the contract, and pay less than a 1. Sounds simple to me.
@FascismDefeat@Savageboston@GregABedard Then draft better or trade better. Howie getting a 1st for a guy who wants to leave and they’ve already drafted to replace is wild. The patriots hold more chips than the eagles.
And yes their drafting has sucked. So maybe they should just learn to not reach.
@mchiaramonte121@Savageboston@GregABedard I think getting 3 elite years AND a late 1st is by far best case scenario. You guarantee me both of those things then I’d probably do the deal. I’m worried we won’t get 3 years and our pick won’t be late.
@Jakalen2x@Savageboston@GregABedard Yea… for the next year, maybe 2. I don’t think this team was an AJB away from a Super Bowl. Would much rather than trade a 1st for a guy like Pickens.
