Students were so excited to start our class garden.🪴 Students explored what plants need to grow big and strong and what they do to help their plants grow. When planting they asked how a tiny seed could grow into a flower?

@dp_EarlyYears Students asked: why does that happen to the trees? I see ants crawling on the tree, do the ants like to live in the flowers? Why are there so many bees on those flowers? Many great questions to explore throughout our learning journey!

A little photo dump of the last three weeks😊 students were noticing the tree in our playground blossoming so we started asking questions about what happens in spring, to the plants and bugs. Students explored habitats for bugs and created habitats for the bugs outside. 🐛🐞🐜🦋

We have been exploring so much about space and we discovered that Earth is the only planet in our solar system thats full of life! Students have been sharing why its so important to protect our Earth because of this. Check out the students exploring our provocations this week!

This week our JK’s explored the letter Bb. While our SK’s explored word families, as well as sentence writing. In math we explored mass and learned about weight!

We have been busy this week with journal writing, solar head bands and creative exploration! During our writers workshop we reviewed sentence writing, labelling their pictures and writing with detail. JK’s focussed on distinguishing between words and letters.

Our students created a space station! Remember the planets we painted this week? They are in our dramatic play solar system! Students created computers, and consoles too! Watch them play, explore & create space!

Continuing to explore measurement. Students are measuring their feet using cubes, bears, paper clips etc. Ask your child what the four rules of measurement are.
