St Aidans won by 50 runs
In front of a large and very enthusiastic crowd at St Aidans, the two teams treated us to a wonderful final.
Zengeza 4 elected to bowl,
special mention for the dignitaries from Zimbabwe Cricket who came along and offered some bats to all of the competing schools.
Skip presented the CJPL trophy to St Aidans captain, Donnel Gurwe and Dillon Nyamhuri was awarded Player of the Tournament.
Julian collected the 60 pen pal letters from St Aidans in Huddersfield last week.
And the Rockingham boys delivered them to St Aidans, Chitungwiza, today.
The St Aidans 🇿🇼 children were delighted with their letters and will respond immediately
St Aidans - Rockingham CCC
The Rockingham boys spent the full day at St Aidans on Monday.
It was great to catch up with old friends and to see how the next generation of St Aidans superstars were getting on.
Chinembiri and Dudzai
On Tuesday, the Rockingham boys went to Chinembiri school in the morning and then Dudzai in the afternoon.
Following last years visit, it was great to see the progression.
Scholarship update.
It was great to catch up with the Scholarship boys.
Benny Z, Zvikomborero M and Ambitious M are all winners of the Rockingham CCC scholarship award.
The boys looked smart in their Churchill uniforms and are studying hard and playing some good cricket.
The project team are pleased to bring pictures of the brand new cricket net, at Dudzai. Coach Panashe Marovatsanga is delighted with the new facility and is straight to work with his young team!
Next in line for a new cricket net is Chinembiri school…..

The Chitungwiza Junior Premier League.
The inaugural CJPL competition is due to start on Friday the 11th of February, when St Aidan’s travel across town, to play rivals Zengeza 4.
The other competing primary school teams are Dudzai, Fungisai and Chinembiri #buildingchampions
Rockingham CCC scholarship award winner.
St Aidan’s pupil, Zvikomborero Masango was selected by Coach Malcom Chikuwha, as this years award winner.
He will join previous recipient Ben Zuze at Churchill School, later this month.
New cricket net facility at Zengeza 4, Primary.
The project team are excited to reveal the upgraded cricket net facility at Zengeza 4. Ahead of the inaugural CJPL competition we are keen to try and improve the provision of equipment at all of the participating schools.

After several months of planning; the project team are delighted to announce the inaugural Chitungwiza Junior Premier League (CJPL)
Dudzai, Chinembiri, Zengeza 4 and Fungisai primary schools will join St Aidan’s. 1/5
Each of the schools have received a small amount of equipment and there will be more to follow.
Chitungwiza’s, first-class players, have each gifted some kit and it is wonderful to see their passion and commitment, in building the next generation of cricketing superstars 5/5
