Indigenous Veterans Day: my dad was just a wee Métis boy during the war. He told me that he would pick milkweed fluff for making life jackets for those going oversees. Women and children in our communities were also doing their part.
Today is day 4 of Treaties Recognition Week in Ontario.
We need to do work beyond programs and services. We should be discussing self-determination, treaties and land claims.
We can do better. We must do better.
