Congratulations to our Caritas Cohort! We are so proud of this inspiring group of young people who have spent the last year learning about the faith and putting the Gospel into action. #caritas#catholiceducation@PaisleyDiocese@St_Andrews_Acad
Today we had our ‘Festive Friday’ food bank appeal for SSVP, donating food to help those most in need in our community. Last week we celebrated our patronal feast day with Mass in the Cathedral with Bishop John. We’re very proud of our Caritas pupils who helped at both! 🙏🏻
Today we had the last of our S1 retreats with NET Team Scotland. As we say goodbye to the Team, we thank God for their witness and dedication to the Lord, and for all the love they gave our young people at St Andrew’s during their time with us! 🙏🏻😇🤩
Pope Francis called for the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary to be a day of prayer and fasting for peace.
At lunchtime some of our school community came together to pray a decade of the holy rosary before the Blessed Sacrament for that intention. #faithinaction
We had a wonderful turnout from parents and guardians of our Confirmandi at this evening’s Cluster Retreat in St Andrew’s Academy.
Please pray for our young people who are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation 🙏 🕊️ 🔥
It was a busy day in St Andrew’s on Friday with the first of our NET retreats taking place alongside a food bank collection to help those in our local community!
A number of our S6 Caritas pupils had the privilege of attending the DoP Vocations Conference today. A day of reflection, prayer and formation! @vocationpaisley@St_Andrews_Acad@john_bishopjohn
One of the most moving moments today at Paisley Abbey. The Papal Nuncio and priests ended the visit by asking to sing the Salve Regina as the Monks would have done each day to end compline. Perhaps the first time this was sung there since the Reformation.
We were delighted to be at a packed St. Mirin’s Cathedral last night to celebrate the Pastoral visit of the Papal Nuncio. Some of our young people also got a chance to speak to his Excellency after the celebration of Mass! 🇻🇦🙏🏻
The staff of St Andrew's Academy and our primary cluster colleagues came together to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of our Blessed Mary. It was a lovely way to prepare for the start of the new school term. Thank you to Fr Ryan for leading our celebration.
Happy Solemnity of the Assumption!
It was great to join colleagues from Catholic schools across Paisley for Mass this morning. A perfect way to prepare ourselves for the new school year 🙏🏻
Thanking God for a great five days with @NETScotland for our S1 retreats. Each S1 class spent a day on retreat with the Team, reflecting on the holy Eucharist as the body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ. #realpresence#net@St_Andrews_Acad@PaisleyDiocese
What an amazing afternoon at the Caritas Award ceremony with some of our fantastic Caritas pupils! As you leave school and go into the world, may you continue to love and serve the Lord in all that you do.🙏🏻 #DeusCaritasEst#CatholicEducation@PaisleyDiocese@St_Andrews_Acad
