Today's Advent reflection comes from Mission Together @MissioUK and remembers the Christmas Eve ceasefire of 1914.
It reminded me of the Sainsbury's advert from 2014 :

Today our pupils who are members of Beavers, Rainbows, Cubs, Brownies, Guides or Scouts came to school in their uniform to mark World Thinking Day. It was wonderful to see all of their badges and the skills & talents they have beyond school. @MerseysideScout@Girlguiding
This Lent our families will have the opportunity to welcome a 'Prayer bag' into their homes to share some wonderful resources from @MissioUK . We thank them for their kind donation of Mission Rosaries for each class. #Lent2023#ArchdioceseofLiverpool#Catholiceducation#Blessed
This week's Gospel was the Sermon on The Mount or the Beattitudes. Here at St. Anne's, our pupils work towards developing Be-Attitudes in readiness for life. What will you do this week to work towards one of the Be-Attitudes? @lpoolcatholic @MrsJMC1
It was wonderful to welcome the volunteers for @CAFODSchools@CAFODLiverpool to school today to work with children from Nursery to Year 6 on Catholic Social Teaching. The children loved the animal characters for each principle. To find out more, visit https://t.co/6DG0pInKNm

Today is the First Sunday of Advent, in Churches around the world, the first candle on the Advent wreath will be lit. This first candle represents Hope.
Our children will start to bring home our Travelling Nativity this week, bringing the greatest story and Hope into our homes.
EYFS and KS1 shared the story of St Anne during today's Collective Worship to celebrate All Saints Day. The children enjoyed finding out that St Anne was Jesus' Grandmother and Mother to Mary. We talked about our House Team Saints and how to follow their example.
We can't wait to work with our EYFS parents after the holidays to learn more about helping their child learn to read.
After the meeting, the families will join the children in the hall for a spooky story and some potions and biscuits!
We look forward to seeing you all there!
